Topics include legal and financial planning\, public benefits\, regional center services\, housing\, medical and psychiatric care and a full track on Self-Determination Program — This year we have 4 panel discussions on Self-Determination and a Resource Fair: \nSDP Track Panel Presentation – Self-Determination Program Overview (SDP 101)\nThis opening panel session will provide an overview of the SDP (what is it/pros/cons\, is it worth getting into\, the successes\, challenges and its future) from multiple perspectives \nSDP Track Breakout Session 1: SDP Lived Experience for Accessing Services and Supports\nThis session will give you a perspective from SDP participants and advocates who’ll share best practices and practical tools on how they use SDP to access services & supports to meet their goals \nSDP Track Breakout Session 2: How to Develop a Budget under SDP\nThis session will provide insights on how to develop a budget under SDP from multiple perspectives (regional center\, clients\, independent facilitators and Financial Management Services) \nSDP Track Breakout Session 3: SDP Spending Plan considerations – what are the practical considerations and what can be funded?\nThis session will give you multiple perspectives on how to develop a responsible Spending Plan
